Pain & Performance
Is pain keeping you from the workouts you love, hindering your performance and the goals you’ve set? Pain neuroscience research in the MindBody field is giving people like you new hope—so you can train pain free and perform at your best again.

PAIN REPROCESSING
THERAPY (PRT)
If you are frustrated with temporary relief, being dismissed by healthcare practitioners, or told “it’s all in your head”? then consider Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a gentle and graded approach designed specifically for people dealing with ongoing pain lasting over 3 months. It addresses the roots of an overprotective nervous system by rewiring pain neural circuits utilizing neuroplasticity principles.
a scientifically proven approach to chronic pain recovery.

PHYSICAL
THERAPY
IF YOU’VE SUSTAINED AN INJURY, THERE’S A GOOD REASON WHY YOU HURT
Your nervous system is creating physical pain to protect you. To make you slow down, rest, and allow healing to take place.
I have 14 years of clinical experience trained under some of the best diagnostic and manual physical therapists in the country. I use these skills to diagnose specifically what has been injured and then create a specific treatment plan to provide the optimal environment for healing that specific tissue in your body and get you back to activity faster.

PAIN &
PERFORMANCE
It impacts speed, coordination, agility, power, strength, endurance, mobility (the Body). And also affects your joy, stress relief, identity, your goals, and mental health (the Mind).
I’ve been an athlete my entire life—college soccer, distance running, even an Ironman Triathlon. I understand the kind of pain that comes with training and competition. In a way, we choose that pain. We know it, maybe even welcome it. It pushes us, distracts us, and reminds us we’re alive. Most importantly—it’s a sensation we feel in control of.
pain is the kryptonite of performance
We GET THESE QUESTIONS ALL THE TIME
-
No. Kansas has direct access meaning you do not need a doctor’s referral to initiate treatment. We may work with them, if needed, in the future for imaging or other testing to rule out certain pathologies.
-
MindBody is a cash-based physical therapy clinic and is out of network with insurance providers which means we do not bill health insurance directly. By operating this way, we’re able to spend more one-on-one time with you, avoid unnecessary restrictions from insurance companies, and focus entirely on your recovery.
Many of our patients find that the quality of care is superior when dealing with complex chronic pain issues and often makes our services more cost-effective in the long run compared to the 3 times per week with “traditional” physical therapy. After your visit, we can provide you with a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
-
The first visit (60 minutes) is $175. Each follow-up visit thereafter (50 minutes) is $150.
-
Make sure you fill out all the intake forms and consents emailed to you before your first visit. This will streamline the process and create more time for taking history, the examination, and discussion portions. We will take an in depth look at your history of pain and gather information and understand patterns of your pain. I will take a thorough examination of your body to rule in/rule out structural pathologies. Findings will be discussed with you in a way that makes sense to you (no fancy, over-your-head medical jargon used) and we will discuss a plan of action to start your healing and recovery journey together.
